Located below are the primary screen shots of the online Admin section of a database driven web site. The Administration section is easy to use and can be learned in a matter of several minutes. I've often stepped through this with realtors in a matter of 10 minutes or less. It is very logical, intuitive and I guarantee will not overwelm you.
Of course, if you want to collect information on a form page from your web site visitor, for example a Buyers Guide request or Information request, this will add a couple more pages in your Admin section for processing and maintaining the data stored in your online database.
Not to mention, each site I always design for the computer challenged. Therefore, I build in plenty of error trapping, with additional pages to be displayed to inform you when mistakes are made.
So Russ, I'm not a realtor, can this be tailored to my business? Of course, realtors are selling a product, no different than any other business, be it a property management company presenting commercial and residential rentals or a mom & pop shoe store. Each database is designed with your business in mind and thus the Admin section is tailored around the information you will need to manage.
If you would like to take an online tour of a web sites Admin section, get a good feel as to how it all works, then send me an email and I'll send you a link with a username and password on a demo site on my server. Otherwise, always feel free to call me anytime, day or evening, if you have any questions.

Login Page
Once you reach the Login page, you will simply enter your UserName and Password, which is then verified with the database to see if you are authorized to access the Admin section. If not, then you are sent to a Failed Login page giving you a warning and displaying your IP address. If you are authorized, then a cookie is written to your hard drive so the next time you Login you won't have to keep typing in your UserName and Password. Of course, you can uncheck the box to not have it write a cookie if desired.
Administration Home Page
It is this page that controls your online database. From this page you can Insert a new listing, Update a current listing, Delete a current listing, View All Listings in your online database (both active and inactive), page through all listings viewing thumbs and primary data, search through all your online listings, and view all data stored in your Info Request or Buyers Guide Request forms (or any forms you desire) both filled and unfilled. All actions are easily accomplished just with a click of a button.
All Listings in Online Database Page
This page displays a table of all active and inactive listings in your database. The MLS# is also hyperlinked to pull that listing back onto your Admin Home page for any changes you may need to make. As you accumulate listings in your database, you will be able to page through and/or sort by a variety of information stored on each listing. This page presents a handy summary of every listing in your database.
Insert and Update Listings Pages
Although these are two separate form pages, they are nearly identical. The Insert page will insert a new listing into your database, thus fields are blank. Much of the information is custom tailored to your needs and use drop down lists for you to select, thus saving you a great deal of time typing.
The Update page looks very similar, except it pulls information from your database for that particular listing, but still allows you to use the drop down lists, etc. to make any changes you desire.
Towards the bottom of the form are places for you to add information for an Open House, Virtual Tour, Slide Show, Photos and Maps.
Also on each of these forms is a check box where you can designate whether this listing is Active or Inactive. By making it Active this listing will show up immediately to the public in your current listings. Making it Inactive can be used if you don't have all the information to present, or maybe it has a tentative offer from a buyer, and you want to take it off your current listings, but don't want to permanently delete it out of your database.
You will find on each of these forms a button for Uploading a photo or map to your web site. This is very easily done through your browser. You don't have to use any separate programs for transferring photos and maps to your web site.
When you are all done either Inserting or Updating, at the very bottom is a button to finalize it and send it to your online database.
